A 90-minute interior design consultation gives you focused guidance on the decisions that matter most to your project. We can review a furniture layout, compare kitchen or bathroom finishes, assess lighting placement, or coordinate paint colours with existing flooring, cabinetry and furnishings.
The amount we cover depends on the complexity of your questions. Reviewing a kitchen layout requires a different level of discussion than developing a colour scheme for one room. By identifying your priorities beforehand, we can concentrate on the decisions that will give you the clearest direction.
What will I receive after my consultation?
You will receive a follow-up email summarizing the recommendations and next steps discussed during your interior design consultation. This gives you a reference when making selections, speaking with your contractor or deciding what to address first.
The recommendations focus on the layouts, materials, colours or decorating decisions reviewed for your home. Detailed drawings, 3D renderings, complete product sourcing and project coordination can be added as additional work under a separate scope of work.
Do you offer both in-home and virtual design consultations?
Yes. Ramsey Design offers in-home interior design consultations throughout Oakville, Burlington and surrounding GTA communities, along with virtual design consultations.
An in-home consultation allows us to assess the room’s proportions, natural light, existing finishes and relationship to adjoining spaces directly. A virtual consultation uses your photographs, measurements, plans and samples to discuss design options remotely.
How can I prepare for my interior design consultation?
Choose the questions and decisions you most want to address. Gather photographs of the space, any available floor plans, relevant measurements and a few images that inspire you. When sourcing tile, flooring, countertop materials or fabrics, having those samples available on site helps speed up the design process.
Include details of anything you intend to keep, purchases you are considering, your budget and any contractor deadlines. For a virtual interior design consultation, clear photographs from several angles and accurate measurements make furniture layout and space-planning discussions more useful.

In-home interior design consultation fees generally start from $495.00 plus HST, depending on the size of the space and the scope of the discussions.
Virtual interior design consultations start from $295.00 plus HST for the allotted consultation time.
